Creating the Vision
Creating the Vision is led by founder and managing partner, Julie Jakopic. Julie is known for her pragmatic and optimistic approach to strengthening organizations. Before launching her own firm, Julie served as vice president and human services practice leader at the Development Services Group. She has also held executive positions at ICF International, The Finance Project and the National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP), and served as program director at Prevent Child Abuse, Metropolitan Washington and the Epilepsy Foundation of National Capitol Area.
National Association for State Community Services Programs
The National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) is the premier national association charged with advocating and enhancing the leadership role of states in preventing and reducing poverty. NASCSP's vision encompasses the empowerment of low-income families to reach self-sufficiency in its broadest context, through helping states attain full utilization of their resources and implement an extensive array of services to these families, including weatherization, energy assistance, child care, nutrition, employment, state energy programs, job training, and housing in urban, suburban and rural communities.
California Community Economic Development Association
The California Community Economic Development Association (CCEDA) has served California as a statewide membership association since 1989. Its membership is comprised of organizations actively engaged in revitalizing California's neighborhoods, including local governments and resident driven community development corporations, community action agencies, and faith based institutions.
